My name is Dr. Aya Abdelaziz, BDS, PhD, a second-year resident at the University of Illinois in Chicago, specializing in pediatric dentistry. Originally from Egypt, I completed my dental degree and pediatric dentistry training there, gaining valuable experience working with high-need and high-risk populations. This exposure sparked my passion for addressing health disparities through preventive measures and early intervention strategies.In 2018, I pursued advanced education in the United States, earning a Ph.D. in Population Health Science. As a pediatric dentist scientist, I feel committed to enhance access to quality dental care and promote oral health equity.
