Kratika Dixit, BDS, MDS, Resident, University of Louisville School of Dentistry
Dr. Kratika Dixit is a second -year resident Pediatric Dental Resident at the University of Louisville. Dr. Dixit completed her dental school at Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry, India (her home country). During her dental school she realized her passion for Pediatric Dentistry and joined the residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at one of the esteemed dental schools in India. She was trained with the diverse aspects of the specialty there. After completing her residency, she worked for Smile Train India, a charitable oraganization for providing free surgeries for cleft lip and palate babies. As a part of the cleft team, she performed Naso alveolar moulding for cleft lip and palate babies. Dr. Dixit also worked as a associate Pediatric Dentist for two private dental offices.
Dr. Dixit moved to the US and completed a one year certificate program in orthodontics at the University of Florida. With the desire to learn more about pharmacological aspects of behavior mangement, treating medically compromised and special need children, she joined the residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Louisville.
Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Dixit is a certified yoga instructor and loves teaching people about yoga and meditation. She also enjoys doing Calligraphy, listening good music and dancing. She is trained in Kathak, an Indian classical dance form.
