Liara Vinson, DDS is a second year pediatric dental resident and a Masters in Science of Dentistry Candidate at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry presenting her thesis on Feasibility of Using Somatosensory Input on Children Receiving Dental Treatment. Dr. Vinson was born in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Norfolk State University, followed by her pre-doctoral studies at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2020. She then returned home to complete a one year general practice residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Just before entering into pediatric dental residency, she practiced at a non-profit called Kids Smiles providing preventative, routine, and emergency dental care for children in her community. Dr. Vinson enjoys working with children and patients with special healthcare needs, and looks forward to returning back home to serve her community once more. When she’s not working, she enjoys working out, spending quality time with family and friends, trying new restaurants and foods, and traveling.
