Dominique Oliver is a second year pediatric dental resident at Yale New Haven Hospital. She is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma however her family has been in Rowlett, Texas for the last 20 years and is currently the city she calls home.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Arkansas State University recieving a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences with a Minor in Chemistry. During her time at Arkansas State University she lettered all four years in women's basketball and earned 2X Sunbelt Conference Championship team. She was also awarded Defensive MVP and overall MVP for her senior season.
After undergard she took a much needed gap year to work as a dental assistant just before being accepted at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. She graduated at the top of her class and was selected to be inducted to Omicron Kappa Upsilon Society. After the completion of her program at Yale New Haven Hospital, she plans to return home and begin practice.
After a few year of practice, she has plans of persuing a career in academia to some degree. Her hobbies include baking, tennis and spending time with my family and friends. She finds joy in helping other so in her spare time she is a volenteer mentor for other rising dental professionals. Her life mission is to lead with kindness and to be a nurturing provider to our future.
