AJ Buban is a Second year dental resident at The Ohio State University/Nationwide Children's hospital in Columbus, Ohio. A Wisconsin native, he completed his undergraduate education close to home at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he received a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology while also playing baseball. Shortly after, he completed his dental eductation graduating from The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in May of 2022. Currently as a resident, AJ enjoys working in a community focused on making an impact on the oral health and wellbeing of children from underprivlidged families. Each day presents a new set of challenges, but the reward of releiving pain, and improving lives makes this career one to cherish.
AJ has served in several leadership roles within NCAA athletics, the American Student Dental Association, the American Dental Assocation, the Colrado Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He values the importance of organized dentistry as well as the combined efforts of the dental community as they strive to improve, innovate, and advocate for the advancement of the dental profession.
When he is not spending his time in the hospital taking care of children, he enjoys spending time with his wife Maisey traveling, camping, and cheering on our Wisconsin sports teams.
