Susana Barrios Pinera, DMD
My name is Susana Barrios Pinera and I’m a current second-year resident of Pediatric Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine.
My formal dental training was completed at Boston University in 2021, in the USA.
I graduated as a General Dentist in Cuba in 2008. After my first dental training, I established and grew my passion for pediatric dentistry, by continuing my learning process on the pediatric population, especially in the treatment of children focusing on early malocclusion diagnosis and space management, as part of my post-doctoral training in Cuba.
I also enjoy promoting good oral care habits. I worked in school-based programs oriented to prevention and oral care promotion for 2 years as part of a community program. I am sure of the social function and scientific approach of this profession. My personal goal is to continue learning and always give my best.
