Pediatric Dental Resident
Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, Pittsburgh, PA
Dr. Brooke Fecko D.M.D. of State College, PA, is a second year resident at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. She attended undergrad at Pennsylvania State University studying neurobiology and psychology. Dr. Fecko received her degree in dentistry from LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, FL where she discovered her passion for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Fecko has an interest in access to care, in particular to the limited number of offices which accept reimbursement from government insurance. She was troubled to discover the restricted fee schedule for pediatric dental services in her state which led her to the focus of her research project, "Medicaid Coverage for Preventative vs Restorative vs Space Maintenance Services in Pediatric Dentistry in Pennsylvania". Dr. Fecko strives to give every child the chance to be successful while at the dentist while helping build parents' understanding of good oral health. She is a member of both the ADA and AAPD. In her free time, Dr. Fecko enjoys her time in the outdoors and can often be found biking around town.
