Dr. Jayakumar Jayaraman, BDS, MDS, FDSRCS, MS, PhD is Associate Professor & Director of Research at VCU School of Dentistry, Richmond, Virginia, United States. He received his clinical and research training from India, Hong Kong, England and the United States. Dr. Jayaraman is a Diplomate of both American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland. He has published over 75 peer-reviewed articles and serves as an Editorial Board member for Pediatric Dentistry Journal and International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry. Dr. Jayaraman is an expert consultant for the Council of Clinical Affairs of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, member of the Specialty Advisory Board of Paediatric Dentistry and Examiner of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland. In addition to academics, he works part-time in a private dental practice in Williamsburg, Virginia, United States.
