Dr. Julia Kollesar is a second year pediatric dental resident at the University at Buffalo. She knew from a young age that she was passionate about a career in dentistry and discovered her interest for pediatrics early on in dental school. She spent all of her educational years at the University at Buffalo diving deeper into the profession, starting out as a predental student and dental assistant, then a dental student, and now a dentist and pediatric dental resident.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys many outdoor sports including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, rock climbing, and scuba diving. These hobbies have brought her to many places across the US and the world. Some of her favorite places she has been are Switzerland, Peru, and Yosemite National Park. She also enjoys long walks with her dog, Smokey, playing piano during a relaxing evening, and spending way too much time perusing the internet for outdoor gear she definitely doesn't need.
She is looking forward to her next steps in dentistry as a pediatric dentist in Alaska, where she hopes to learn and grow as a dentist, and enjoy the beautiful mountains and scenery of the Last Frontier.
