Liliana Rozo Gaeth, DDS, is an ABPD Diplomate and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where she has been a faculty member of the Pediatric Dentistry Department since 2008.
She was born and raised in Colombia where she graduated as a general doctor in dentistry and worked as a general practitioner for 17 years. She and her husband Dr. Ricardo Caicedo, DDS moved their family to New Orleans, Louisiana in 2001 where they resided until 2005. Subsequently, they moved to Louisville, KY, where they both continued their careers at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Rozo completed her pediatric dentistry residency in 2008, and immediately after joined the pediatric dentistry department. Since she began her career in academia, she has served as course director for multiple undergraduate courses, and as the pediatric clinical discipline coordinator. She is also a clinical attending for graduate students. She has obtained a certificate in Health Profession Education and is passionate about becoming a better instructor. She is an advocate for the Hispanic patient population and is very involved with the community. She is currently a faculty advisor for the Hispanic Student Dental Association and created the Louisville chapter of the Student Society for Pediatric Dentistry.
Her goal is to improve teaching methodologies using the technology to support the student to become self – directed learners. She loves her dental students. She created the Children’s Oral Health Education Program from Infancy to Adolescence to provide guidance to the student to implement the partnership with patients and parents in order to maintain patient’s oral health as a part of the whole health.
