Dr. Cynthia Wong is an Associate Professor of Dentistry and Pediatrics at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She serves as the Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. She graduated from the Université de Montréal. She subsequently completed a Multidisciplinary Residency at the Montreal Children’s Hospital (McGill University) where she served as a Staff Dentist and Clinical Instructor. She completed a Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program and a M.S. in Dental Science from the Eastman Institute for Oral Health.
Her research focuses on clinical outcomes, prevention, social determinants of early childhood caries, and improving access to care for children with dental needs. Her educational focuses are on digital education and resident assessment. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (Pediatric Dentistry), a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and an Associate Member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
