Bhakti Desai is a second-year pediatric dental resident at the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry and currently serves as Chief Resident. While earning her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, she is also completing a Certificate in Health Disparities Research and Master of Science in Oral Science. She was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, which is where she completed her dental training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry as well as her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Birmingham-Southern College.
