Dr. Kai Wei Cheng, DDS, serves as a Fellow Doctor in Pediatric Dentistry at China Medical University Hospital in Taiwan. Embarking on her dentistry journey, Dr. Cheng underwent comprehensive residency training over four years, from 2019 to 2023. She completed a two-year general PGY dental training program before dedicating the subsequent two years exclusively to pediatric dentistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan, graduating in June 2018. Additionally, her educational experience was enriched through a meaningful exchange at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, broadening her perspective on dental medicine globally.
Dr. Cheng has been an active contributor to her field, presenting at key conferences such as the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD) in the Netherlands in 2023, and a national conference by the Taiwan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 2022. These opportunities have allowed her to share valuable insights and learn from her international counterparts, reinforcing her dedication to pediatric dentistry.
As an IAPD member, Dr. Cheng remains updated with the latest trends and research in pediatric dentistry. Her commitment to the field is manifest in her scholarly contributions, including oral presentations and posters. With a deep-seated resolve to enhance children's dental health, Dr. Cheng approaches her continued education and professional practice with both humility and an unwavering dedication to lifelong learning.
