Dr. Price is a Prosthodontist who has been teaching at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada, since October 1984. In 1979 he received his BDS from the University of London, England, and, in 1998, his DDS from Dalhousie's Faculty of Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University of Michigan in 1984, and in 2001 he completed his Doctorate in Oral Technology and Dental Materials at the University of Malmö, Sweden. He is actively involved in research on digital dentistry, dental resins, curing lights, and teaching. He has made numerous presentations and maintains an active YouTube channel that has received over 200,000 views. In addition, he has authored more than 220 peer-reviewed articles and currently has an h-index of 53. He co-authored the chapter on Light Curing in the 7th edition of Sturdevant’s textbook ‘Art and Science of Operative Dentistry’. In 2007, he won the WW Wood Award for Excellence in Dental Education at Dalhousie University, and in 2019 he received the IADR Dental Materials Group Peyton Skinner Award. In 2023 he received the Hollenback award from the Academy of Operative Dentistry.
