Behavior management is an integral part of managing the pediatric dental patient. Management of the pediatric dental patient is a challenging yet extremely rewarding experience.
The attitude of parents towards traditional behavior management techniques and their general expectations have changed considerably over recent times. This has resulted in the need to modify traditional techniques and incorporate newer techniques to meet the demands of this generation of parents and their children.
A wide variety of behavior management techniques are used across the globe. They vary significantly based on geography, local customs and more importantly availability and access to pharmacological modes of behavior management.
