Salivary Biomarkers and Their Importance for Early Childhood Caries Diagnosis

Location: MTCC, South Building - Room 801
This presentation will summarize salivary biomarkers and their importance for the diagnosis of early childhood caries. Results of previous research and studies to be carried out will be presented. At the same time, participants will be taught how to take a saliva sample for laboratory analysis in young children.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, participant will be able to know some biomarkers for ECC diagnosis
  • Upon completion, participant will be able to perform t saliva collection for salivary biomarkers evaluation
  • Upon completion, the participant will be able to indicate the evaluation of salivary biomarkers as part of the treatment in their patients.
