During the presentation, I will present a national study of mother and child dyad whom followed up for 10 years. Findings of cohort study with relevant literature will be presented regarding maternal health factors such as gestational diabetes, smoking, socioeconomic ingredient and use of medications during pregnancy and subsequent use of dental services by children. The data also include the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the provision of dental services to the Northern Ireland population.

Understand the importance of maternal health on offspring children’s dentition
Prevent dental caries and subsequent use of dental services in children by controlling maternal factors that might impact the quality of teeth development.
Understand the importance of prevention and its impact of health economics with giving example of COVID-19 pandemic on subsequent dental needs.
