Purpose: To compare between what parents reported about their child’s medical conditions on their initial visit reported on (Axium) and what was reported on child’s medical record from their Primary health care Provider.
Methods: In this retrospective chart review conducted, charts reviewed are of patients who had dental procedures completed in the operating room from date 01/01/2020 through date 30/12/2022. a convenience sample size of up to 700 subjects were included. Data from charts including age, gender, any medical conditions, allergies, medications, and type of insurance were collected fromparent-reported medical history questionnaire from the child’s visit recorded on Axium charts. Data from charts were compared to their history and physical form submitted from the patient’s primary care physician.Descriptive statistics (means and standard deviations for continuous outcomes, counts and percentages for categorical variables) were calculated. A sensitivity and specificity analysis were performed with the primary care physician responses considered as the gold standard. Stata 17 was used for statistical analysis.
