Title: Assessment of Pediatric Dentists' Readiness to Address HPV Risks in Private Practice: A Survey Study
Abstract:
This study endeavors to evaluate the preparedness of Pediatric Dentists in private practice to assess the risks of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in children. Employing a survey-based approach, participants will be queried on various dimensions related to HPV infection risks, including inquiries into their sexual behaviors, vaccination status, and their knowledge of HPV as obtained through healthcare providers. The survey will delve into aspects such as the number of sexual partners, condom usage, and receipt of the HPV vaccine through healthcare providers.
Furthermore, the study will explore the depth of providers' comprehension regarding HPV and its associated risks, encompassing aspects such as genital warts and cancer. Through a meticulous analysis of the survey responses, the researcher aims to pinpoint specific areas of weakness among providers. This insight will facilitate the development of targeted interventions geared towards enhancing effective communication and education strategies for patients. Ultimately, this research seeks to contribute valuable information to the ongoing efforts in promoting comprehensive HPV-related education and preventive measures in pediatric dental practices.
